Brendon Hayes - Quality Assurance

  • Interacting with staff on all levels with a goal to optimising production efficiency, quality and safety. Brendon’s valuable contribution involves formulation work, process chemistry and computing; all requiring a keen eye for detail.
  • Professional History
  • The past six years have entailed participation in a range of production issues involving technical advice, management and supervision, assisting with product development, management of documentation/certification including health and safety documents. Previous responsibilities have included the role as process chemist and QC lab supervisor together with analysis of various chemical products and their adjustment into specification.

  • Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Chemistry with a co-major in Biochemistry.
  • Graduate Diploma in Environmental Health

Ray Vegners - Assistant Quality Assurance
  • Area of Speciality
  • Formulations development in many areas but mostly in cosmetics, with experience in analytical method development (of formulations) of essential oils and herbal extracts as the actives.
  • Strengths also in Technical Marketing, Technology transfers, Production troubleshooting, laboratory supervision and regulatory matters.

  • 20 years as Research & Development Chemist with TP Health (brands: Thursday Plantation, Greenridge Herbal and Sunspirit), Schwarzkopf (hair care) in pulp and paper (Australian Newsprint Mills and Interox-Solvay) and in ink coatings (Colorpak Inks & Coatings).
  • Technology Development Officer (ANUTECH – Australian National University).

  • McGraw-Hill award in Marketing Management

DR DD Rathod
  • Area of Expertise
  • Collection, preparation and analysis of Soil, Water, Fertilizers, Leaf-tissue and Compost samples for inorganic elemental composition.
  • Five years experience in operation and handling of Sophisticated Analytical instruments like ICP, Ion Chromatography, Spectrophotometer, Nitrogen Analyser, Flame Photometer, pH and Conductivity meter etc.

  • Professional Experience
  • Five years experience in inorganic elemental analysis for government (Agricultural Universities) and private organization in Environment Science.
  • Worked as a Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow for Agricultural University.
  • Published research papers in peer reviewed research journals related to soil and environment science.

  • Doctor of Philosophy (Agriculture) majoring in Agricultural Chemistry & Soil Science
  • Master of Science (Agriculture) majoring in Agricultural Chemistry & Soil Science and Agronomy.

Simon Machin, Assoc. Dip. Applied Chemistry
  • Is a Technical Chemist holding an Associate Diploma in Applied Chemistry from QUT with 20 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Industry. He has experience in a wide variety of laboratory equipment and is specialised in the use of HPLC systems where he has done method development and validation along with routine analysis. Simon has extensive knowledge in GMP and TGA guidelines and maintains a high standard in laboratory procedures and practices.

Sisi Liu (B.Appl. Sc - BioChem/BioTech - QUT)
  • Sisi holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Queensland University of Technology, with a double major in Biochemistry and Biotechnology.
  • Sisi joined SAFE Analytical Laboratories in July 2009. Sisi is performing all laboratory analysis and is instrumental in our NATA accreditation scope.
